I have used Laura Chamberlin to provide food for personal and business events over the past several years and have never been disappointed. I work at the Center for Biological Diversity, a national, non-profit environmental organization and I have a personal passion for local, sustainable food. Whenever I need to provide food for a meeting or for a group of friends I know that I can turn to Laura and she will listen to my ideas and needs, providing a top quality experience, using locally grown, sustainable food and her renowned culinary skills. on seasonal, local food whenever possible and ensuring that any meats

and fish are sustainably farmed and harvested is a key reason for my

choice to use her talents for my business needs. As a vegetarian, I look

for creativity in a chef and expect much more than the usually “tofu or

cheese?” options often offered by other chefs. With Laura, I know that I

will be given a creative menu based on my preferences and I have never

been disappointed. Laura is consistently professional, prepared, and

reliable and I plan to continue to use her as a personal chef for both

my personal and business needs long into the future.

If there's one piece of advice I'd give couples it's this: have a small wedding. I know... for most of us that means offending tons of people, but every time I shoot a wedding like this (guest total:30) I fall in love again with the intimacy and natural flow the day takes. Kathryn and Thomas had a wedding I would have carbon-copied for myself. They literally hit the vendor jackpot. This was a destination wedding (they are from the East Coast) and they did most of their planning from thousands of miles away. They kept it simple and spent their money on things that were really important to them. Amazing food (I think I'll devote a whole blog post to their personal chef... she was THAT good!); a great local bluegrass band because Thomas is a musician himself and wanted live music; and a scenic house full of character to hold the festivities in. They scored high points on all counts and the best part of the day was that it was emotionally charged with all the joy and tears that best friends and close family pour into an occasion. Laura catered our 30-person wedding in Sedona. From the time I first started corresponding with Laura, I was very impressed with her detail- and customer-oriented working style. Laura is an absolute artist; her food is fresh, clean, accessible, beautiful, tasty, and satisfying. Our wedding guests raved endlessly at the deliciousness of the food. By choosing Laura to cater our wedding, we achieved a unique, intimate, and very high-quality food experience, that I believe was entirely incomparable to what we would have gotten if had we gone with a traditional catering company. I am writing this review to thank you Laura for your wonderful participation in our fundraising project. Working with you was a pleasure and joy. From the beginning when we proposed the project of having a personal chef provide a dinner for 6 as our main prize you were very generous with your time and knowledge. The dinner you prepared was fabulous. Watching you work in the kitchen not only provided us with a fabulous meal but we had cooking tips to share with each other. Our meal was a three course dinner made with all fresh local ingredients. Everything was prepared beautifully and the evening was a huge success.  I would highly recommend your services as a personal chef to anyone interested in having a fabulous meal prepared in their home, or if anyone is interested in seeing what dishes can be prepared with locally grown ingredients or just interested in meeting a great personal chef.
